About the Journal

Indonesian Society and Religion Research (E-ISSN: 3046-9678) is a multidisciplinary journal that highlights religion as well as social theory and practice. Since 2026, the journal has been indexed in SINTA 4. We invite theoretically rigorous and methodologically sophisticated studies across diverse temporal and geographical contexts. Our interdisciplinary Focus and Scope encompasses five core areas: (1) Islamic Religious Education, (2) Pancasila and Citizenship, (3) Social Sciences (Sociology), (4) Cultural Studies (Anthropology), and (5) Community Development.

The journal is published four times a year, in February, May, August, and November. We continuously welcome scholars to submit original, high-quality manuscripts for our forthcoming issues. For detailed information on specific thematic topics, deadlines, and the latest Call for Papers, please visit our Announcements page. Considering the large volume of submissions and the need to ensure sufficient time for quality assurance and thorough revisions, we strongly encourage authors to submit their manuscripts at the earliest opportunity.
